Welcome to relax with yoga

My yoga class is for people of all levels of health and experience. In counselling I work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss issues, difficulty managing change and people with a history of trauma.

I am a psychologist and yoga teacher with experience in health research, private practice and education. My counselling approach has an emphasis on mindfulness-based techniques, as well as cognitive behaviour therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. My aim is to help people develop tools to manage their health and feel more at peace with themselves.

Individual Counselling

I provide counselling two days a week at UFS Medical, level 1, 40 Bridge Mall, Ballarat. I also consult two Saturday mornings per month at 202 Doveton St Nth, Ballarat. People with a mental health care plan from their GP are eligible for a medicare rebate. Its a good idea to book a double appointment with your GP to discuss your health care plan. Ballarat Restorative Yoga and Qigong Class

Wednesday evenings in central Ballarat. Places are available for term 4 which starts 1st Nov 2017 and runs for 6 weeks. Please email me to book in layananda08@gmail.com

Breath Body Mind Program

A six week breathing and qigong (gentle movement) program suitable for people who experience high stress or chronic illness. No experience of yoga or qigong is necessary. The practices are done while lying on the floor or sitting in a chair. The next group will be held in 2018.
