About Lisa

I have been a psychologist since 2001, working in mental health research and counselling. I first attended yoga classes with my grandmother at the age of 19 and then at Monash University during my student years.

After experiencing a lot of stress during my student years, I began yoga studies in 2008 and had a strong desire to share these wonderful practices with others. I completed a two year Diploma of Yoga Teaching in 2011.

I have taught mindfulness based stress reduction programs to medical students at Monash University, other psychologists and in workplaces such as BP Australia.

I am committed to a regular yoga and meditation practice and ongoing professional development. I completed an 8 week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program with Open Ground in 2014. In 2015 I attended a 10 day silent meditation course at Tushita in North India. In 2015 I also travelled to the Kripalu Yoga Centre in Massachusetts, America for Breath Body Mind Teacher Training. This is a group program which incorporates yogic breathing and qigong, and has been used effectively with survivors of trauma from around the world.
